Match Report
rather difficult match report to get enthusiastic about as I'm sure you will all appreciate.
Today we played The Church team, an eclectic mix of youth (in there 20's) and experience. Some good football was played, a couple of great goals from our boys and at half time another penalty given away by a terrific kidney punch by Paul Reid, strangely I called for a penalty against us, habit I suppose from Tuesdays nights reffing. I did promise Bully I wouldn't report what happened next, just suffice to say the score didn't change. Early in the second half Phill Neil fell over and hurt himself badly, the game was then abandoned. The latest I heard his arm is broken and is likely will have to be operated on.
A big thanks to PVR'S wife and the unknown chap that held him in place, on the ground for over an hour whilst we waited for an ambulance.
Also a mention for Rob Snelling who volunteered to go to hospital, both Rob and PVR's wife a drink is on the club as a small token thank you for all your help. I also realized we need to get some silver heat blankets for the future.
Our best wishes to the Neil family and hopefully Phill you made a quick recovery, both sides send their regards.
