After a mad start, where I and their centre forward played ball with each other, they were full on, but after 10 mins we settled to start yet another exciting game.
We knew this wasn't going to be an easy game but we settled after a few bangs and knocks and history was in the making. We broke so many club records I lost count..... how do I sum it all up?
After some deliberation and a lot of beer, it was easy........
As their keeper and I exchanged sides at the start I said to him (He was wearing a day glow top)"Were you in the 4 o'clock at Newmarket on Red Rum?"
It was odd he didn't seem to find my comment that funny........
The obvious answer was YES as they never got past the start line, he must have been on "Sherger"
